FRONT-END DRIVER

Position Summary:

Drives commercial vehicle to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform complete pre-trip inspection including but not limited to checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls
  • Drives front-end truck to and from customer sites and disposal areasClimbs in and out of truck at each location
  • Uses hand controls to operate vehicle and hoses
  • Reads route sheets and services each customer as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor and takes notes on the tickets with delivery/pick up details
  • Maintains vehicle operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements
  • Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
  • Cleans vehicles interior.
  • Maintains delivery, vehicle and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and vehicle performance forms
  • Contacts dispatcher and customer though radio
  • Courteously interacts with customers, supervisors, and fellow employees
  • Ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, lifting of up to 75 pounds throughout each shift
  • Submit all paperwork on a scheduled timeframe to dispatcher
  • Wash exterior and interior of truck and cab, under frame, tires, and wheels
  • Clean off the front of blade daily
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class B or Higher) required
  • 10 year MVR
  • Safe driving record (DMV documentation required)
  • Ability to read, understand, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation
  • Analytical skills, with ability to problem solve effectively
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
  • Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

GREASE TRAP DRIVER

Position Summary:

Drives commercial vehicle to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform complete pre-trip inspection including but not limited to checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls.
  • Drives pump truck to and from customer sites and disposal areas
  • Climbs in and out of truck at each location
  • Uses hand controls to operate vehicle and hose
  • With a crowbar, lifts lid off a grease trap
  • Using a pump hose and water hose, driver pumps grease out of restaurant and other commercial tanks. Cleans / rinses tank with a water hose.
  • Reads route sheets and services each customer as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor and takes notes on the tickets with delivery/pick up details.
  • Maintains vehicle operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements
  • Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations

Class A CDL Drivers License with Tanker & Haz Mat Endorsements

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Safe driving record (10 year MVR required)
  • 4 years of tractor trailer driving experience

 

Liquid Waste/Portable Restroom Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary:

Liquid Waste/Portable Toilet Logistics Coordinator (North Charleston)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day logistics and management of company operations, drivers and order processing
  • Manages the planning and execution of Production and Dispatch/Scheduling activities ensuring that adjacent processes are carried out in an efficient and succinct manner, materials waste is minimized and delivery schedules are consistently met
  • Ensures that drivers comply with physicals, drug or alcohol tests, and training required by DOT
  • Communicates and follows-up on sales opportunities, problems at customer sites, portable toilet issues, and safety issues reported by drivers
  • Notifies customer service of delivery days for specific items
  • Ensures set-up errors and missed pickups are reported and resolved
  • Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations on a daily basis, following-up where appropriate
  • Manages collection routes and driver/laborer performance on a daily basis in single or multiple line of businesses: Port-o-let, Front-End, and Grease Trap services
  • Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities. Coordinates daily operational needs with Maintenance team.
  • Plans, distributes, monitors and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements
  • Manages the end-of-day checkin process, capturing and communicating key service, safety and equipment issues
  • Monitors driver and laborer time and attendance, minimizing overtime
  • Reviews weekly demand/volume for routes, determines potential gains from re-routing and recommends re-routes to the routing specialist
  • Sets and monitors productivity, service and safety targets for each route and driver

  • College degree preferred
  • Logistics management/sales experience preferred
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve as a group and individual
  • Critical thinking skills a must
